for 1855, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL COLT LONDON.', London proofs, plain cylinder with roll engraved scene stamped 'COLT'S PATENT' along with the serial number, open iron frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT', iron grip-straps and trigger-guard bow, plain walnut smooth one-piece grip and articulated under-barrel rammer, minimal traces of blued finish but strong traces of colour
